A Lifetime of Housing Experience

For more than 20 years, I have opened my doors as a landlord and neighbor, learning firsthand what safe, stable housing really requires. That long experience, combined with my family history of offering this same type of service, shaped Zora's House into a place where details matter, bills stay predictable, and residents feel protected. I use those lessons daily, so seniors, veterans, and adults in transition can focus on rebuilding, not worrying.

Inspired By Grandmother Zora's Welcome

Zora's House carries the name and spirit of the grandmother who raised me and lost her only son while he served in the military. She never met a stranger, welcomed people of every race, and believed everyone deserved respect, a hot meal, and a listening ear. That legacy lives in my family-style environment, where residents are treated as if they were my own relatives, and every story is honored with patience, kindness, and care.

Faith-Informed, Ethics-Driven Leadership

Leadership at Zora's House includes my Doctorate in Christian Theology, which quietly guides how I serve without turning the home into an institution. My faith informs my ethics, my commitment to fairness, and my promise to treat each resident with dignity, regardless of background. This clear moral compass supports consistent house policies, honest communication with families and agencies, and a calm, stable setting where everybody is truly somebody.

Dignity

Every resident’s story is honored with respect, patience, and genuine care.

Safety

Security, sobriety, and clear rules protect the peace of the home.

Community

Family-like connection, encouragement, and accountability are part of everyday life.

Founder Story

As Founder and Director, my leadership brings more than two decades of hands-on landlord experience and a lifetime of caring for others into every room of Zora's House.

A Doctorate in Christian Theology quietly shapes how I make decisions, set house policies, and walk alongside each resident. I understand that many seniors, veterans, and adults in transition arrive carrying both hope and worry, so I work hard to remove fear about safety, fairness, and stability.

Every placement, every conversation, and every follow-up visit reflects my belief that housing should uplift people, not break them down. I stay closely involved in day-to-day operations, listen when something does not feel right, and act quickly to protect the peace of the home.

This steady, values-driven leadership helps residents and families trust that they are not facing this season alone.

Care Coordinator

As Care Coordinator, my focus is simple and steady, I make sure daily life in the home lines up with the promises I make to residents, families, and referral partners.

That includes walking new residents through house guidelines with patience, checking that common areas stay clean and calm, and helping schedule transportation support for medical visits and essential errands.

Years of experience in supportive housing taught me that the smallest details, such as a working washer, a quiet night, or a listening ear in the kitchen, often bring the greatest relief.

I serve as a bridge between residents, the director, and outside professionals like case managers and social workers, so communication stays clear and respectful. My goal is to notice needs early, encourage healthy routines, and help every resident feel seen, safe, and genuinely at home.
